SUMMER FUN THURSDAYS

June 24 - July 29 10:00am - 12:00noon. 

For kids of all ages accompanied by adult.

June 24 – Explore Insects and Build a Bug House

Learn about the bugs you would find in Heathcote's beautiful gardens: how they eat, multiply, affect our world and can be controlled naturally in the garden. Then build a bug house for your favorite garden friend.

 

July 1 – Make Music in the Garden

Join us for a delightful musical extravaganza as we make and play our own musical instruments, learn sign language, sing and make music come alive.

 

July 8 – Nature's Recyclers

Amazing Life from Death…..RECYCLING!!!!!!! Explore how nature recycles and how you can too!!! Enjoy games, bugs and wiggly worms, compost, and coloring with our Nature's Recyclers.

 

July 15 – Tastes from the Garden

What are plants and how do they grow? Learn about and taste different herbs and vegetables from the garden then make a yummy treat that will be beautiful and delicious!

 

July 22 – Music, Instruments, and Puppets in the Garden

Be creative as you make your own musical instruments and puppets for a wonderful fun filled puppet show.

 

July 29 – Games

Join us for some summer fun including who can make and fly their most awesome paper airplane the furthest, who can blow the biggest bubble, who can become a squirrel

and find the most acorns and lots more summer fun.

KIDS' AFTER SCHOOL GARDENING with Ms. Nan

Fall session starts in September, after school on Thursdays.  Kids get "down and dirty" planning , planting and maintaining a vegetable garden.  We plant the seeds for life-changing habits and knowledge.  Download more information here.  Call the Heathcote office for details on dates and times.

HEATHCOTE HALLOWEEN HAUNTED FOREST

Saturday, October 30.  5:30pm - 8:30pm.

An evening full of tricks and treats, fun and games for kids of all ages.  Come in costume of course!  The center lawn activities are not too frightening (designed with little ones in mind.).  Courageous kids can explore the perimeter cemetery, haunted hut and witch's coven.  Hot dogs and drinks are available.

$6 for adults, $2 for children, FREE for Heathcote members.

23rd Annual GARDEN FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday, November 20 & 21, 2010. 

9:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday, 10:00am - 4:00pm on Sunday.

The largest fall plant sale on the Treasure Coast features an amazing variety of plants and vendors selling everything you need for your garden.  Meet the experts and watch demonstrations on bonsai, rain barrels, edible landscaping and more!  Free kids activities and entertainment.  Food and drink for sale. 

$6 for adults or $3 and 3 cans of food.  FREE for children and Heathcote members.
