Heathcote Botanical Gardens is hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Lunch-N-Learn on Thursday, Feb. 16th at 12:00 noon. A light lunch will be served, and reservations are requested, call 772-464-4672.
Celebrate the Year of the Dragon in honor of Bonsai Month here at Heathcote Botanical Gardens. This two day Asian themed event will encompass our regular spring plant vendors as well as bonsai vendors, children's activities, entertainment, music and American and Asian food that will compliment both days! Cost is $5 per person, Heathcote members, Veteran's with ID and children under 12 are FREE!

Tai Chi and Chi Gung
Every Tuesday, 9:00am - 10:00am. Registration begins first Tuesday of each month.
Join Instructor Charlie Ottesen in the Gardens for Yang style Tai Chi. Come and have fun while you get stronger, develop better balance, release stress, decrease blood pressure and gain a calmer mind. Students will warm up with Chen style movements, learn the first section of the Yang form, learn the Tai Chi Walk and the advanced techniques of Wave Hands at Clouds, Brush Knee and a Standing Still Meditation.
Fee for one month of Tai Chi is $40 for Heathcote members, $45 for non-members. Call to register 772-464-4672. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Always consult your doctor before beginning a new exercise program.
